Materials Needed: PSP 9 - get it here

1. Open a new image, 300 x200 and flood fill with a colour, if desired. Click on your rectangle tool foreground null, background colour of your choice and with the following settings, draw a thin rectangle on your canvas.

2. Click on your pen tool , make sure it is in edit mode.

 

Move the cursor over the right corner until you see it change, as shown:

 

Pull down just very slightly and drag the corner to the left until you see the square take the following shape:

 

Let go of the mouse when it's the shape you want - it becomes more round the further to the left you drag it.

Here's what you have now:

 

If you like, you can export this as a preset shape for future use. File--->Export--->Shape.

Layers--->Convert to Raster Layer.

3. Effects--->3D Effects--->Inner Bevel. Here are the settings I used, you might want to play with them to get an effect you like

 

5. You now have your button! You can use a tube to decorate it and add text in colour of your choice and use whatever effects you like on it.
