Christmas Card Hanger

Materials Needed:
PSP 7.x - Get it here - will also work
in 6.x and 5.x
Jasc's holly tube - available in Jasc's Christmas tube collection,
download here
Christmas card images of your choice
Tubes to decorate the image - I used tubes from my own tubes site here
Note: Whenever I say to add a new layer, add a raster layer.
1. Open a new image 500 x 500. Flood fill with a colour if desired.
2. Add a new layer. With your text tool, apply the word "MERRY"
in font of your choice. I used Arial Black size 48 colour #008000. Place the
text in the center of the image toward teh top of your canvas.
3. Add a new layer and apply the same text in a red, I used #E83030. With
your mover tool, make sure the text is directly on top of the green text.
4. Take your eraser tool and erase every second letter so that you have
alternating colours.
Note: If, like me, you had a tiny amount of green showing over the red edge,
go down to your green Merry layer and erase the letters below the red ones.
5. Turn off your background layer and merge visible the two text layers.
Rename the merged layer "merry". Effects--->3D Effects--->Inner
Bevel. Apply the Pillow preset but change the elevation to 30.
6. Add a new layer and repeat steps 2, 3, 4 and 5 with the word CHRISTMAS,
renaming the merged layer to "christmas" in step #5.
7. Add a new layer, name it "holly" and place a bed of Jasc's
holly tube between the words "merry" and "christmas". I
sized at 50%
8. If you like, you can add other tubes as well. I used a Santa head and
a Christmas tree.
9. Go to your background layer add a new layer and naming it "hook1".
Take the hook tube you downloaded and place it under the "C" in "christmas"
as shown:
10. Take a card image and place it under the hook. Image--->Rotate--->Right
by 50 degrees, or whatever angle you prefer. Place it so that the left corner
is right over the hook.
11. With your selection tool, feather 0 antialias checked, draw a circle
in the left corner and Edit--->Clear or hit your Delete key.
12. Now, place the card so that the hook goes through the hole you just
made. You will need to zoom in and erase the part of the card that should be
behind the hook as shown:
13. Repeat steps 9, 10, 11 and 12 for every card you want to use. I only
used 3 for demonstration purposes, but you can use more if you like. Delete
your background layer and merge visible the remaining layers.
Enjoy!
