Materials Needed:
PSP 7.x - Get it here
Wood pattern - I got mine here. Another great source can be found here.
Dingbat of your choice - I used Decorative Dividers, available here
Super Blade Pro or Blade Pro - get it here. If you don't have it, you can download the drawer handles here.
Preset for BP or SBP - I used the goalden preset by Mahogany - download here. This is on my site for download with permission from Mahogany - please do not redistribute.
Tubes to decorate with - I got the phone tube from GloriAnon; the lamp is from my own tube site; the bouquet is also mine; and the books are from a tutorial here
Whenever I say to add a new layer, add a raster layer.
In order to reduce load time, some of the screenshots do not show the entire work area. Please do not let this throw you off. Also, the quality is compromised - yours will look better.
1. Open a new image 700 x 600. Add new layer and name it "top". With your selection tool, feather 0, antialias checked, draw a rectangle from 100, 10 to 550, 300. Flood fill with wood pattern and deselect. If using the same wood pattern I used, use a size of 50%. Effects--->Geometric Effects--->Skew. 25 Horizontal.
2. Click on your deform tool
.
With the cursor on the centre horizontal node, bring down to 230.
3. Effects--->3D Effects--->Inner Bevel. Use the following settings:
4. Add a new layer and name it "front trim". With your selection tool, antialias checked, draw a rectangle from 104, 300 to 550, 310. Flood fill with your pattern, deselect and apply same inner bevel. If the left bottom tip of the top layer hangs over the edge, zoom in and erase.
5. Duplicate this layer by right clicking it and choosing "Duplicate". Rename duplicate layer "right trim" and drag the layer below the front trim layer (or Layers--->Arrange--->Move Down). Image--->Rotate--->left by 18 degrees, make sure "all layers" is UNchecked. Image--->Sharpen. Move into position on the right side, lining up with the right side of the top as shown below:
6. With your selection tool, draw a rectangle from 686, 240 to 700, 280.
Edit--->Clear or just hit the Delete key. Zoom in and erase the little bit sticking out at the top and any sticking out the bottom as shown:
Hint: for the top right part, it helps to lower the opacity on the right trim layer, so you can see the edge of the top through it and know exactly how far to erase.
7. On your bottom layer, add a new layer and name it "left leg". With your selection tool, same settings, draw a rectangle from 100, 385 to 375, 410 and flood fill with your wood pattern, changing the size to 25%. Deselect.
9. Image--->Rotate left by 90 degrees. Move into position at the left side of the desk and Effects--->Sharpen--->Sharpen.
(the reason I have made the leg horizontal and then rotated it is that it keeps the wood pattern the same as the top. For some reason, doing it vertically and using a 90 degree angle on the pattern just does not look right).
10. Duplicate the leg layer. Move the duplicate layer to the right side of the leg layer.
11. Go back to the original leg layer and apply the same inner bevel.
12. Click on the duplicate leg layer and then click on the deform tool.
With the cursor on the right lower corner node, hold down the control key and
push up to about 565 as shown:

With cursor on the middle vertical node, push in as shown:
Click on Apply.
12. Colours--->Adjust--->Brightness/Contrast - Brightness -20. What you use will depend on the pattern; the idea is to make the side of the leg a bit darker than the front.
Adjust the position of the leg side if need be and zoom in and erase the tip if it's showing below the leg front.
