Glitter Star

Materials Needed:
PSP 7.x - Get it here
Texturizer filter
Unplugged filters - available here
- make sure you download from the Photoshop Compatible link
Spider Web gradient from Char - available here
1. Open a new image 100 x 100. Flood fill with the spider_web gradient
with the following settings:
2. Image--->Effects--->Texture Effects--->Mosaic Glass.
Use the following settings:
(I learned this technique from Kellyswebcreations)
3. Colours--->Adjust--->Brightness/Contrast. Enter 90
for Brightness, 0 for Contrast.
4. Open a new image, 300 x 300 and flood fill with a colour
of your choice. Click on your preset shapes, antialias checked retain
style and create as vector UNchecked, star (star#2 in the shapes
menu) in the colour of your choice. I used #35589F.
5. Click outside the star with the magic wand then Selections--->Invert.
Selections--->Modify--->Contract by 5. Flood fill with white.
6. Selections--->Modify--->Contract by 8 and flood fill
with the same colour you used in step #4. Keep selected.
7. Apply the Unplugged Effects Snow filter. I used a setting
of 10.
8. Apply the Texturizer filter with the following settings:
9. Click on the outside rim of the star and apply the texturizer
filter with the same settings.
10. If you want to add a hook, do that now. Make sure your layers
are merged, if you used a new layer for the hook.
11. Click on the white just inside the outside rim with your
magic wand to select it. Now, make two copies of the image.
12. On the first image, flood fill with your glitter image,
scale 100, angle 0. Deselect and save the image as star1.psp
13. On the second image, flood fill with the glitter image,
but change the angle to 45. Deselect and save as star2.psp
14. Take your third image and flood fill with the glitter using
an angle of 65. Deselect and save as star 3.psp.
15. Open Animation Shop. File--->Animation Wizard. Use the
following settings:
- same size as the first image frame
- transparent canvas colour
- upper left corner of the frame
- with the canvas colour
- yes, repeat the animation indefinitely
- set to your preference for length of time for each frame - I used
30
- add your images and click next and then finish
