1. Open a new image 250 x 250. Flood fill with colour if desired.
2. Add a new raster layer and click on your preset shapes tool. Make sure retain style and create as vector is unchecked and anti-alias is checked. Line style solid and width 4. Have your background and foreground contrasting colours - I have used #FFCBFF for foreground and #4B4B8F for background - the colours do not matter as they are not permanent anyway. Shape ellipse. Draw a circle in the middle of your canvas - hold down the Shift key while drawing to get a perfect circle shape.
3. Click on the outside ring part to select it. Effects--->Texture Effects--->Sculpture. Choose the Silver preset and change the Depth to 2, and the Shininess to 22. Deselect.
4. With the magic wand, select inside the circle. Selections--->Modify--->Expand by 1. Hit your delete key to delete the colour. Keep Selected. Go to your background layer and add a new raster layer. Flood fill with the stained glass pattern of your choice. I am using 134w.jpg from the "Water" folder. I am flood filling at a scale of 30% and angle of 0. Deselect. If desired, adjust the layer opacity - I put mine at 70.
5. Turn off your background layer and merge visible the rest. Rename the merged layer "centre". Turn your background layer back on.
6. Click on your preset shapes tool and put a check on vector. Foreground and background colour same as in step 2, and draw an ellipse as shown (it will automatically draw on a new layer):
7. Click on your pen tool. On the bottom node, right click and choose Node Type--->Symmetric. Pull down and in on the handle to get a shape like this
Layers--->Convert to Raster Layer.
8. Repeat step 3 and 4 on the petal. Turn off all layers but these two, merge them visible and rename the merged layer "petal". Turn your other layers back on. With your mover tool, place the petal at the top of the centre piece.
9. On your petal layer, Layers--->Duplicate. Image--->Rotate--->Free Rotate to the left 60 degrees, all layers and rotate single layer around canvas centre unchecked. Move this petal in position to the left of the top one
10. On the Duplicate layer, duplicate and Image--->Mirror.
11. Go to the original petal layer and duplicate. Rotate to the left 85 degrees and place beside the second petal. Duplicate and mirror. You may need to adjust the placement a bit (image 8)
12. Repeat step 11 but rotate by 130 degrees.
13. Duplicate your original petal a final time and Image--->Flip. Move into position at the bottom centre. Make any adjustments to the petals that you need.
14. Go to your centre layer and drag it to the top or Layers--->Arrange--->Bring to Top. Here's what you have now:
15. Turn off your background layer and merge visible the rest. Rename merged layer "flower" and turn your background layer back on.
16. Image--->Canvas size. Width 250 Height 450. For placement, click on the top centre arrow as shown:
Flood fill the background layer with your background colour.
17. Make your background a metallic gradient - I am using the metallic gradient
from PSP 7. Style Linear, Repeats 0, Angle 90. Foreground null.
Go to your background layer and add a new raster layer and draw a thin rounded
rectangle with your preset shapes tool (take the check off vector):

18. Selections--->Select All. Selections--->Float. Keep selected and add a new raster layer. On the new layer, flood fill with a very light grey colour, I am using #EEECEC. Deselect. On this layer, set your layer blend mode to multiply and on the pole layer, reduce the opacity to about 70.
19. Delete your background layer and merge visible the rest. You now have a stained glass flower decoration for your outdoor images.
Note: this does not resize well so it's best to use as a tube, which takes resizing better.
