Pitchfork

Materials needed - PSP 8 - get it here - this would probably work in ver. 6 & 7 with modification

A wood pattern of your choice - I got mine here

A metallic gradient - I am using the one from PSP 7.

1. Open a new image 250 x 250 and flood fill with a colour of your choice. Click on your preset shapes tool and make sure retain style is unchecked, anti-alias and create as vector checked. Foreground and background colour #C0C0C0. Draw an ellipse on your canvas as shown:

2. Grab the bottom node and pull up, as shown:

3. Click on your pen tool and move the cursor over the line until you see "ADD"

Click once to add a node. Add 3 nodes as shown:

4. Pull down and to the right a bit on the bottom node as shown:

5. Pull up and to the left a bit on the top middle side node as shown, then pull to the right on the arrow a bit.

Pull up and to the left a bit on the underside middle node and down slightly on the handle:

You may also need to manipulate the top centre and underside centre node a bit to even out the top. We are only concerned with the left side, as we will use a trick in the next step to make them even. Here is how it should look at this point:

7. Layers--->Convert to Raster Layer. Now, take your selection tool and draw a rectangle around the left side:

Selections--->Invert. Hit your delete key to get rid of the right side. Deselect. Layers--->Duplicate. On the duplicate layer, Image--->Mirror. Use your mover tool to align the two sides up together.
