Textured Christmas Tree Ornament
Materials Needed - PSP 9 - get it here
Eye Candy 3
Topper tube - you can download the one I used here
- I do not know who the creator is, if anyone does please let me
know.
1. Open a new image 300 x 300. Set your foreground to pattern, Liquid
Satin, size 70, angle 45 and flood fill your image
2. Effects--->Reflection Effects--->Feedback. Opacity
100, Intensity 100, Horizontal and Vertical offset, each 0.
3. Effects--->Reflection Effects--->Kaleidoscope. Use
the following settings:
4. Effects--->Geometric Effects--->Circle. Edge Mode Transparent.
You should now have this:
5. Image--->Resize by 50%, make sure resize all layers is
UNchecked. Making it big and resizing gets rid of the "jaggies"
that the circle filter causes. Sharpen, if desired.
6. Apply Eye Candy 3 Glass, click here
for the settings (will open in a new window). I wanted mine a bit
lighter so I lightened it by 18. (Adjust--->Brightness and Contrast--->Brightness/Contrast)
7. Add a new raster layer, with your selection tool ,
draw a rectangle on top of the ornament.
8. Go back to your ornament layer and click on your clone brush
, using these settings:
Right click on an area near the top of your ornament. Now, go
back to the layer with your selection. Place the cursor at the left
side of the selection, hold down the left mouse button and drag
the cursor over to the right to fill in the selection and deselect.

If you like, move the layer to below the ornament layer (Layers--->Arrange--->Move
Down.
9. Add a new layer and apply your topper tube - you might have
to play around with the scale and use the deform tool a bit to get
it the right size. Merge visible your layers and you have an ornament
to use for your Christmas trees.
You can get different looks by using different patterns. Above,
the dark blue ornament, I used Mosaic - Glass before Feedback and
Kaleidoscope. I also lowered the Refraction to 0 on the EC preset
(and did with the rest, as well). The green one, I used the Paper
pattern, then the Feed back and Kaleidoscope and colorized it. The
light blue one, I used Pastel Blue Splatters pattern, everything
else the same. The pink one I used Marble pattern, then Rough Leather
texture before the Feedback and Kaleidoscope, and colorized. Play
around with different patterns and textures - the possibilites are
endless.
Enjoy!
